About Me

Kimbowa Richard: I am a development manager with over 25 years of experience working with civil society. I have served as the National Focal Point for the East African Civil Society for Sustainable Energy and Climate Action from 2019 to 2023. Additionally, I was the Regional Coordinator for the Lake Victoria Environment Management Project (LVEMPII) Civil Society Watch Project (November 2012 to May 2015), under the East African Sustainability Watch Network. As we approach 2030, I am closely following the implementation of the SDGs, particularly from the perspectives of the Global South and Africa's Agenda 2063. Currently, I am the Chairman of the Renewable Energy Civil Society Organizations Network in Uganda and the International Network for Sustainable Energy - East Africa. I am a member of the Board of Trustees of the Uganda National Renewable Energy Platform (NREP), the International Association of Facilitators, the Global South Climate Experts Platform, and the EuroClimateCheck initiative. I also serve on the Advisory Board for the NAAM Festival #JusticeForLakeVictoria.
